The Highland Clan Curling Club was instituted in 1932. It attracts members from all over Scotland and abroad to represent their Clan at an Annual Bonspiel. The Crest of the winning Clan is added each year to the trophy together with the names of the team members.
The Right Hon. The Earl of Elgin and Kincardine, DL, JP, honoured the club by accepting the title of Honorary Chieftain.
In 1987, the team of Jim and Linda Stewart and Bob and Karen Newell from Winnipeg, Canada added a second trophy, a lovely model of a Red River Cart. Jimmy MacLean, the President in 1989 presented a Pewter Quaich, Jim Mitchell, an excellent curler and a wonderful character added a wooden Quaich in 1989 that he actually made himself, so we now compete for four lovely trophies
